Eddy helps developers hand off websites to clients for content updates. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who this applies to
This policy covers developers who create an Eddy account and clients who use a review link to request changes on a connected site. If you use Eddy on behalf of a company, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with your organization’s policies.
Information we collect
- Account information — email address and authentication details when you sign up or log in (including Google sign-in, if you choose it).
- Developer data — project names, live site URLs, GitHub repository metadata, deploy settings, and activity related to your projects.
- Client data — email addresses you invite, review-link usage, session identifiers, and change requests submitted through the client view.
- Technical data — basic logs needed to operate the service, such as timestamps, error reports, and security events.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide authentication, project management, and the client review experience
- Connect to GitHub and hosting providers on your behalf when you configure them
- Process change requests and show activity in the developer portal
- Send transactional emails such as client invites, when enabled
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability
Third-party services
Eddy relies on infrastructure and integrations that process data under their own terms, including Google Firebase (authentication and database), GitHub (repository access you authorize), hosting providers you connect, and email delivery for invites. We only access third-party accounts you explicitly connect.
Retention
We keep account and project data while your account is active. If you delete a project or account, we remove associated data from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we must retain information for security, legal, or backup purposes.
Your choices
- You can update project settings or delete projects from the developer portal.
- You can revoke client access by removing people from a project.
- You can disconnect third-party integrations where the product provides that option.
